Plan Conceptual del Proyecto Isla Amaitlán

2009 / 2010

México

Isla Amaitlán is located on the Mexican coast facing the Pacific Ocean, in a landscape marked by coconut groves, sea, beaches, dunes, mangroves and natural lagoons that interact with a small village where fishermen, farmers and people linked to tourism reside, all this combined with a large city - Mazatlán -, an important national and international tourist destination, with a historic center, port, industries and logistics infrastructure. The conceptual proposal presents an occupation strategy for this unique space based on equally unique sustainable solutions and alternatives, so that the design is in line with the areas of environmental fragility, legislation, guidelines related to basic infrastructure and internal mobility.
