Acupunturas Urbanas para Santiago de Los Caballeros

Santiago de los Caballeros is the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, located in the north-central part of the country. A series of "urban acupunctures" resulted in the proposal of a set of strategic projects:

The Yaque River is the element that aggregates the new ideas for Santiago, structuring leisure activities for the population, environmental parks, sanitation actions and the restructuring of the historic center.

In the historic center, two interventions: the Fortaleza, which will be transformed into a cultural center with a strong vocation for music, and the old Tabacalera, which will become a new market.

The former airport will be transformed into the "Central Park", and will be occupied by gardens, cycle paths, sports facilities, areas for concerts and cultural activities.
