Santiago de lós Caballeros is the second largest city in the Dominican Republic, situated in the north-center portion of the country. A series of “urban acupuncture” resulted in the proposition of a set of strategic projects:

The Yaque river is the element that amalgamates the new ideas for Santiago, structuring leisure activities for the population, environmental parks, sanitation actions and the restructuring of the historic center.

In the historic center, two interventions: the Fortress that will be transformed in a cultural center with a strong vocation for music; and the ancient Tabacalera that will become a new market.

The former airport will be transformed in the “Central Park”, to be occupied with gardens, bike tracks, sportive facilities, areas for concerts and culture activities.
