The municipality of Macaé, population 200,000, is located in the northern portion of the Rio de Janeiro state. The city has undergone deep transformations since Petrobrás decided to install there its exploration and production base for the Oil Basin of Campos; decision that was followed by a number of other companies, suppliers and population contingents. The project add a new ensemble of ideas, guidelines and proposals organized in the themes of Urban Structuring (urban growth, environmental sanitation, expansion areas, social housing, costal occupation, environment, roads network system and circulation, passengers public transport) and Strategic Urban Projects.
