Elaborated by JLAA in a partnership with SECOVI, with the follow up of the Municipality of São Paulo, the project’s goal is to offer a set of contributions/ideas for a new vision for the Downtown Area of South America’s largest metropolis, highlighting its cosmopolitan, open and dynamic character.

The proposals are anchored in the valuation of the public spaces and in the downtown area as a residential address; in its material and symbolic assets; in the strength and diversity of its economy, as well as its innovation potential; in the enhancement of the public transit and pedestrian areas; and in the articulation of private investments in favor of this shared vision.

It is an opportunity of reminding the “paulistanos” affective memories connected to this noble part of the city; a task of recapturing the imagination and the dream; a “reinvention” of this area in connection with the 21st Century.
As propostas se apoiam na valorização do espaço público e no Centro como endereço de moradia; nos seus ativos materiais e simbólicos; na força e na diversidade econômica desse espaço e seu potencial de inovação; na ampliação da rede de mobilidade pública e dos espaços para os pedestres; e na articulação dos empreendimentos imobiliários a favor dessa visão compartilhada.

É uma oportunidade de recordar ao paulistano memórias afetivas atreladas a esse espaço nobre da cidade; um trabalho de captura da imaginação e do sonho; de uma “reinvenção” desse centro para o século XXI.
