Development of the BRT Project for Aracaju as a high capacity and hierarchical bus system, which should form a network of trunk and feeder lines. The Project included the definition and operational data of all the lines (description, itinerary, demand, fleet, travel and kilometres), the definition of the Functional Project, with the physical, operational and location definition of the new terminals and integration stations (platform sizing, displacement flows, form of embarkation and disembarkation and control of the operation with the use of new embedded technologies and monitoring), the strengthening of the public administration (elaboration of the institutional and normative framework, and mechanisms to control the implementation and operation of the system). The project also included the definition of the guidelines for the Bidding Process of the Urban Transportation System for the city of Aracaju and for the Metropolitan Area (Aracaju Municipality, Nossa Senhora do Socorro, São Cristóvão and Barra dos Coqueiros) with technical guidance on the operational aspects of the Bidding, as well as technical definitions regarding aspects of the implementation and operation of the new BRT corridor system.
